Kurowski Shultz LLC to Co-sponsor Associate Foreign Lawyer Exchange
Kurowski Shultz Attorneys At Law
Kurowski Shultz LLC is pleased to announce that it is co-sponsoring an associate foreign lawyer exchange with the Scognamiglio International Law Firm in Naples, Italy. This prestigious attorney trainee program was first conceptualized by Giovanni Scognamiglio, a highly regarded practitioner in Italy in 2002. Messrs. Kurowski and Scognamiglio have a long association through an international education board and other matters.
Kurowski Shultz associate, Stephanie A. Black, has been selected to participate as its first foreign lawyer. Beginning September 15, Ms. Black will spend six weeks in Naples at the Scognamiglio firm visiting and observing its practice in the fields of international business and commercial transactions. She will also observe Italian court hearings in civil and criminal matters and attend meetings with the firm’s clients. In addition, she will attend a Human Rights Symposium in Torun, Poland in October led by Mr. Kurowski.
Kurowski Shultz will welcome Luigi Scalzo, an associate with the Scognamiglio Firm, in mid-August. Mr. Scalzo will also observe federal and state court proceedings, including a criminal trial in Missouri state court. He will accompany American lawyers at litigation related events, including depositions and meet clients and local businessmen. Mr. Scalzo has also been invited to join several international law classes in the comparative law program of Professor William Johnson at St. Louis University School of Law.
