Kenneth R. Cloyd is originally from central Illinois. He received his B.A. in Legal Studies and Political Science from the University of Illinois in Springfield where he interned with the Illinois Innocence Project and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society for Political Science.

Ken graduated magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2015. While in law school he was a member of the Law Review and vice president of the Trial Advocacy society. He also worked as a law clerk for the NIU Office of General Counsel and served as a student attorney for the Kane County Public Defender’s Office.

Prior to joining the firm, Ken worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Decatur,
Illinois where he represented indigent clients in misdemeanor and felony cases. Ken
is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and is licensed to practice in Illinois.
