Megan N. Ham graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2007, with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism.  She subsequently earned her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2011. She joined Kurowski & Shultz, LLC in 2016.

Ms. Ham is originally from central Illinois. Prior to joining the firm, she was an Associate at a general practice firm, where she focused on insurance defense, including premises liability, automobile liability and dram shop actions. She has regularly appeared in over 30 Illinois Counties as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Central District.

While in law school, Ms. Ham excelled on the Trial Advocacy Team. She competed in National Trial Advocacy competitions and later served as a Chairwoman for the Trial Advocacy Team. Additionally, she was selected by faculty and staff to be a mentor for incoming first year law students. She earned the highest class honors in both Legal Professionalism and in the Criminal Clinic. Upon graduation, she was the sole recipient of the Clinical Legal Advocacy Association Award, as well as a Pro Bono Commendation.

Ms. Ham remains active in the community.  She was the former Vice President of Communications for the Eastern Central Illinois Women Attorneys Association and was an Insurance Law Council Member through the Illinois State Bar Association.  She also volunteered as a Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for neglected children. 

Ms. Ham is licensed in Illinois and the Central District of Illinois. She concentrates her practice on complex civil litigation, including the areas of toxic torts, commercial litigation, product liability and domestic relations. She is a member of the St. Clair County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.  She resides in St. Louis, Missouri.
